Questions
Good questions to ask before you let anyone in
How do I know who is coming to my door?
The day before your visit, we text you a photo of your technician, his name and the time. He'll be wearing a Front Porch Tech Help shirt and will never ask for your passwords to keep.
Will you try to sell me things I don't need?
No. We don't earn commission on anything. If you need a new device, we'll tell you what to look for. We keep a few printers on hand already set up, only for people who ask.
What if I forget what you showed me?
That's normal, and it's why every visit comes with a laminated guide for your exact setup and 14 days of free phone help. After that, a short video call is $39.
Can my son or daughter book and pay for my visit?
Yes. Family members can book from anywhere, pay ahead, or buy a gift certificate. We'll call you to pick a time that works.
Do you charge by the hour?
No. Each visit has a flat price, and we agree on it before we schedule. If something unexpected comes up, we ask you first.
Will you need my passwords?
Only while we're working on something together, and only with you sitting beside us. We'll help you store them safely, and we never write them down or take them with us.
